THE PAIDEIA Academy — rules for students and tutors

General provisions

THE PAIDEIA Academy is an online educational platform that connects students and tutors for one-on-one lessons. All users agree to follow the platform rules, treat each other with respect, and maintain a professional learning environment.

For students

Trial lessons

• A trial lesson lasts 25 minutes. • Each student can receive up to 2 free trial lessons per subject. • Trial lessons are intended for getting to know the tutor and assessing the quality of teaching.

Booking lessons

• A student can book individual lessons or use the funds in their wallet to pay for several lessons. • Lesson prices are set by the tutor and shown in their profile.

Cancellation by a student

If a student cancels a lesson more than 24 hours before it starts: • The lesson price is returned as credits to the student's internal wallet. • No cash refund is made to a bank card. The credits received can be used to book other lessons on the platform.

Lesson confirmation

After a lesson ends, the student receives a prompt: "Did the lesson take place?" Possible answers: • The lesson took place • The tutor did not show up • The student could not attend If the student does not respond, the system automatically marks the lesson as completed 24 hours after it ends.

Refunds

A cash refund is only possible for the unused balance of funds on the platform. Refund requests are reviewed by the administration on an individual basis. The administration has the right to withhold an administrative fee and other actual costs associated with processing the refund.

For tutors

Tutor registration

To start working, a tutor must: • complete their profile • provide the required information and documents • receive administration approval Only after approval does a tutor gain access to working with students.

Conducting lessons

A tutor is required to: • conduct lessons at the agreed time • observe professional ethics • treat students with respect • respond to messages promptly

Cancellation by a tutor

If a tutor has to cancel a lesson, they must: • state the reason for the cancellation • send the student a message • apologize • offer a new date and time for the lesson When a lesson is cancelled by the tutor, the lesson price is automatically returned to the student as credits to their wallet.

Tutor payouts

A tutor's income is credited only after the student confirms that the lesson took place, or after automatic confirmation by the system 24 hours later. A tutor can submit a payout request through their personal account. The minimum amount for a payout request is UAH 5,000. The standard payout day is Monday. In exceptional cases, the administration may consider an out-of-schedule payout.

Disputes

In the event of disputes between a student and a tutor, the platform administration acts as the final authority. When reviewing a dispute, the administration may take into account: • message history • lesson history • cancellation history • other platform data The administration's decision is final.

Platform administration

The administration of THE PAIDEIA Academy reserves the right to: • approve or reject tutors • temporarily restrict access to the platform • review disputes • make changes to the platform rules All changes are published on the platform's official website.
